Background

Emily planned to become a sports broadcaster and earned a degree in broadcast journalism at ASU, but after reading On the Dignity and Vocation of Women (Mulieris Dignitatem), felt a powerful call to use her education in speaking and presenting to spread the Gospel.

After working for two years as a full-time high school campus minister, Emily made the transition to full-time traveling ministry beginning in 2013. She has spoken, hosted, and played music at countless of national and international youth, young adult, and women’s events, including keynoting FOCUS (SEEK), Hallow, Life Teen, Steubenville, NCYC, and ICYC conferences, the Australian and Swiss Youth Festivals, and many more.  She has presented at a vast number of women events, conferences, and universities around the world including the University of Pennsylvania, the University of Florida, George Mason University, MIT, Purdue, University of California, Berkeley, UCLA, and dozens more.

Books

In the summer of 2016, Emily wrote her first book titled I Choose the Sky (Published by LifeTeen, Inc.). It is a scriptural devotion with reflections on seventeen women in the Bible and what women can learn from their lives, decisions, and encounters with Christ. In the spring 0f 2018, Emily released her second book titled Go Bravely: Becoming the Woman You Were Created to Be (Published by Ave Maria Press). This award-winning book unpacks 20 ways a young Christian woman can incorporate her faith into her daily life. In 2020, Emily self-published her first children’s book God’s Glorious Girl which shares a much needed message about identity to combat today’s secular culture. Emily then wrote her fourth book in the Fall of 2020, titled Awaken My Heart (Published by Ave Maria Press), which is a yearly devotional for Christian women of all ages. Her latest self-published children’s book, God’s Brave Boy (counterpart of God’s Glorious Girl) released in the summer of 2021, and the God’s Glorious Girl Coloring Book released in fall of 2021. In November of 2022 Emily released her sixth book titled Stella the Brave (Published by Dayspring - a division of Hallmark). Emily just finished writing her seventh book which is scheduled to be released in 2025 (Published by Thomas Nelson/HarperCollins).

Video Courses

Aside from her hundreds of videos on YouTube, Emily started making specific in-depth video courses on seasons of significant change in the lives of women. These courses are designed to help women navigate the change of a very specific season in their life – to give them honest, practical guidance and tools to help them find peace, joy, and confidence in the midst of the season they are in. Whether women are headed to college, preparing for marriage, or beginning motherhood, each one of her video courses will leave women feeling more prepared, with a clear mind and full heart under the foundation of “This is the guidance I needed on my journey through these seasons of transition, and that’s why I created them for you.”

Marcam (TV Show)

Witnessing the dire need for high-quality, modern, fun, educational resources to help bring faith to life for children everywhere, Emily, alongside her husband Daniël, felt called to create an entertaining and educational kids TV show. They want kids to be excited about their faith, but know it’s easy for parents to struggle finding ways to make faith relatable, fun, and inviting in our culture today. This, along with witnessing secular values infiltrate children's media ever more intensely and for increasingly younger ages, prompted them to take action and develop a brand new TV show called Marcam.

Marcam is a live action, educational and entertaining kids show for children ages 2 - 6. Through exploring, dancing, and music, the ever curious and cheerful host Marcam will help children better understand and become more familiar with the richness and depth of living a life of faith by going on fun and educational learning adventures! Marcam seasons 1, 2, & 3 are currently out and streaming on various platforms and broadcast TV channels - including FORMED. Learn more about Marcam here.

Emily lives in Southern California with her husband Daniël, their two sons; Zion and Jedediah, and daughter Pearl.
